lingoni – Terms and Conditions
Last updated: October 8, 2026
Welcome to lingoni! We want language learning to feel natural and fun, and we want you to know exactly what to expect from us. Here is the quick summary. The details follow below.
- Our plans are subscriptions. They renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel, and you can cancel with a few clicks.
- Premium (lifetime) members get a Google Drive folder with all worksheets and podcasts, ready to download in one click, and all future updates for life.
- If you are a consumer, you can withdraw from a subscription within 14 days and get a full refund.
- Lifetime memberships are not eligible for refunds once access has started, because everything can be downloaded at once.
- Everything we publish is for your own learning. Please don’t share your access with others.
1. Who we are
These terms are an agreement between you and lingoni UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Lölsberg 30, 51491 Overath, Germany (“lingoni”, “we”, “us”). Commercial register: Amtsgericht Köln, HRB 100113. Managing directors: Jennifer Tehraud and Jacqueline Tehraud. VAT ID: DE327217441. You can reach us at info@lingoni.com. Our website is lingoni.com.
2. What lingoni offers
lingoni provides online language-learning materials: video lessons, downloadable worksheets, podcasts and related content. We deliver them through our learning platform [powered by LearnWorlds]. What you get depends on your plan. We describe each plan on our website when you sign up.
Each plan covers one language (English, French, German or Spanish) and includes all levels we offer for that language. If you want to learn more than one language, you need a separate plan for each language. This also applies to lifetime plans.
3. Your account
You need an account to use lingoni. Please give us correct information, keep your password safe and don’t share your login. Your account is personal to you. If you think someone else has used it, tell us right away. You must be at least 18 years old to buy a plan.
4. Plans and payments
How your order works. When you click the buy button at checkout, you make us an offer to buy the plan you chose. A contract is formed when we accept your offer by sending you an order confirmation email. Before you buy, you need to accept these terms and confirm that you have read our withdrawal information (Section 6).
4.1 Subscriptions
A subscription gives you access for one month or one year, depending on the plan you choose. A monthly subscription renews automatically every month. A yearly subscription runs for one year. After the first year, it continues automatically as a monthly subscription at the regular monthly price, billed every month until you cancel. The regular monthly price is shown before you buy and in your order confirmation. We charge your payment method for each new period, unless you cancel before it starts.
Automatic renewal works for payments made through Stripe. Payments made with PayPal do not renew automatically. If you pay with PayPal, your access ends when the period ends, and you can buy a new period whenever you like.
4.2 Cancelling
You can cancel your subscription at any time with the cancellation button in your account settings [add exact path], or by emailing info@lingoni.com. For a monthly subscription, the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current month. For a yearly subscription, it takes effect at the end of the first year. After the first year, it takes effect at the end of the current month. Cancelling stops future charges. You keep your access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
4.3 Premium membership
Premium (lifetime) members get access to a shared Google Drive folder with all lingoni worksheets and podcasts. You can download the whole collection in one click. With our other plans, you can download the worksheets and podcasts one by one.
The Drive folder is for your personal use. You need a Google account to open it, and the folder is subject to Google’s own terms. We can’t guarantee that Google’s service is always available. We may remove access to the folder if it is misused, for example if the link is shared with others.
4.4 Lifetime membership
A lifetime membership is a one-time payment. It does not renew and there are no further charges. It gives you access for 100 years from the date of purchase and includes all updates to our content, as described in Section 5. Because you can download everything in one click, lifetime memberships are not eligible for refunds once access has started (see Section 6.2).
Premium membership and lifetime membership are the same plan.
4.5 Prices and taxes
The prices shown at checkout include VAT where required [to confirm]. We may change prices for future periods. If we do, we will tell you in advance [e.g. 30 days]. A price change never affects a period you have already paid for.
5. Updates and improvements
We keep improving lingoni. We regularly revise, add and update lessons, worksheets and podcasts. Subscribers get these updates for as long as their subscription is active. Premium (lifetime) members get all updates for the full duration of their membership at no extra cost.
Sometimes we reorganize or retire content to keep our materials accurate and helpful. When we do, we make sure you keep a learning experience of the same quality.
6. Cancelling, withdrawal and refunds
We want you to be happy with lingoni. This section explains your options. Sections 6.1 to 6.3 and 6.5 are for consumers, which means people who buy for personal use. If you buy for your business, see Section 6.4.
6.1 Your right of withdrawal (14 days)
If you are a consumer and you buy a subscription plan, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving a reason. The 14 days start on the day the contract is formed.
To withdraw, use the withdrawal button on our website [add exact path]. You can also send us a clear statement by email to info@lingoni.com or by post to lingoni UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Lölsberg 30, 51491 Overath, Germany. You can use the model withdrawal form at the end of these terms, but you don’t have to. It is enough to send your withdrawal before the 14 days are over.
If you withdraw, we refund all payments we have received from you, without any fee, no later than 14 days after we receive your withdrawal. We refund to the payment method you used, unless you agree otherwise.
6.2 Lifetime membership
A lifetime membership gives you immediate access to all lingoni worksheets and podcasts, and you can download everything in one click through our Google Drive folder. Because of this, you can only buy a lifetime membership if you confirm at checkout that you want immediate access and that you understand you lose your right of withdrawal once we have given you access. We then confirm this to you by email.
- Before access starts: if you withdraw before we have given you access, we refund the full price (see Section 6.1).
- After access starts: lifetime memberships are not eligible for refunds.
6.3 Cancelling a subscription
Cancelling a subscription stops future charges (see Section 4.2). It does not refund periods you have already paid for.
6.4 Business customers
If you buy as a business, for example as a school or a company, the statutory right of withdrawal for consumers does not apply. Business customers are not eligible for refunds once access has started.
6.5 Your other legal rights
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights if digital content or services are defective.
7. How you can use our content
Our content is for your personal, non-commercial learning. Please don’t copy, resell, post publicly or share it with others, and don’t share your account or the Drive link. If you are a teacher or want to use lingoni in a school or company, get in touch with us. [To confirm: separate license for schools and B2B.]
8. Being a good community member
Wherever you can comment or interact on lingoni, please be kind and respectful. Don’t post unlawful or offensive content. Don’t scrape our platform or try to bypass its technical protections.
9. Intellectual property
All lingoni content, including videos, worksheets, podcasts, logos and designs, belongs to lingoni or our licensors. When you buy a plan, you receive a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use it as described in these terms.
10. Availability and changes
We do our best to keep lingoni running smoothly, but we can’t promise it will always be available without interruption. We rely on partners for parts of our service, such as LearnWorlds, Stripe, PayPal and Google Drive. We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is important, we will let you know by email or on the platform before it takes effect.
11. Our responsibility
lingoni is a learning resource. We can’t guarantee a particular language level or result, because that depends on your own practice. We are fully liable for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the Product Liability Act, and where we have given a guarantee. If we breach an essential contractual obligation through slight negligence, our liability is limited to the damage that is foreseeable and typical for this type of contract. Essential obligations are those that make it possible to carry out the contract properly and that you can rely on. In all other cases of slight negligence, we are not liable.
12. Your data
We handle your personal data in line with the GDPR and as described in our Privacy Policy. Payments are processed by our payment providers, such as Stripe and PayPal.
13. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Germany. If you are a consumer, you also keep the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country you live in. If you buy as a business, the courts in Köln (Cologne), Germany, are responsible.
Questions about these terms? Write to us at info@lingoni.com. We are happy to help.
